Rome

Once in Rome, we stayed at the Forum Hotel, which is in front of the Roman Forum ruins. To see these ruins right from our window was an awesome site.  About the hotel;  the Forum was a great place to stay, rooms were very clean and the decor was nicely done.  The rooftop lounge/breakfast area had a good view of the area. We enjoyed a few glasses of wine at night overlooking ancient Rome.  And as you can see, part of the hotel was actually built around the ruins.

Walking up to the Colosseum was breathtaking experience, and we were only about 3 blocks from it.

Spanish Steps - can you believe
that this is the off season!

RITTOIANTE MASSENZIO PIZZERIA
We had dinner here at this little sidewalk cafe. I had the pasta carbonara and Laura had the spaghetti bolognaise. The pasta dishes were the best we ever had and we enjoyed a great house wine with our meal.
